Cleo Barnett is a New Zealand American curator, creative strategist, and experience designer. Based in Seattle, her practice explores the relationship between public art, storytelling, and human rights. Barnett serves as deputy director of Amplifier where she co-produces the organization’s media experiments—among them, the iconic We the People campaign, the Women’s March on Washington campaign, and the We the Future campaign. The result has been millions of iconic posters distributed and downloaded across the country—and Amplifier’s emergence as a globally recognized art and social justice organization. Barnett holds an MA in art and public policy from New York University and a double BA in political science and international business from the University of Auckland.
